All Artists, whether amateur or professional, are invited to participate in the first annual ChalkFest, a judged sidewalk chalk art competition happening September 22-23 on designated sidewalk areas of Choctaw Ave. in Downtown McAlester, Ok.

Rules:
Completed application must be received by the stated deadline.
Entry fee must be paid prior to competition.
Artists may enter as an individual or collaborate in a group no larger than four artists per square.
Only water-based temporary chalks may be used.
​
All work must be done by the artists only.
Artists may work on their piece during festival hours only
11am - 7 pm Saturday and 12:00pm -2:00pm on Sunday
Judging begins at 2:00pm on Sunday

Winners and prize awards in each category announced at 3:00 pm on Sunday.

COST*:

Registration: $100 /per 8’ X 8’ square
Includes a lesson by a Professional Chalk Artist, a dinner, T-Shirt and Chalk.

*A limited number of Scholarships are available for amateur artists only.
